Previously we have run creative arts and literacy projects in five primary schools in Essex as part of a Primary Strategy Learning Group project in collaboration with Polka Theatre For Children. This invloved working with a playwright on stories and scenes from particular topics and then devising a completely new and revolutionary way of bringing characters to life using foam tubing and blocks.

Recently we have been working in partnership with the Extended Schools Programme. This invloved liasing with two Senior and five Junior and Infant schools to devise creative projects ranging from dance and junk percussion workshops, batik and mosaic, building a series of large totem poles and using media students to evaluate and document the projects.

Workshops For The Imagination sourced the artists and managed the programme. This was the first project of it's kind and has led the way for further funding for creative arts projects in Brighton and Hove from a variety of different sources.
